Rant.

I know, I know. I'm well over-due an update.

So, turns out uni isn't all about cheap drinks, late nights, curaazzy antics and sore heads. You actually have to do work. I know right, who'd of thought? Basically, Ive been snowed under with coursework, getting early nights, lots of housework and hibernating. I need my life back...

On that note, its on the cards for a messy saturday night in town. Thank the lord.

I'll upadate with outfits/makeup styles later this week. Promise :)

OOTD.

As a quick post, I thought I'd share with you some of my Outfits of the Day. Its been hella cold up north so I've been all wrapped up and cosy...which I love!

Oversized Jumper- Topshop (This Season)
High waisted trousers- H&M
Boots- All Saints
Fur Head Band- Attic Boutique.

On thought, its a military-esque look, which is not exactly what I was going for...but hey!

I thought my make-up should be a bit more over dramatic since my outfit is a pallette of Autumnal shades. So, you guessed it...Bring on the coral!

Fake it Up!

Hallelujah! There is a God. According to my bible, which for you fashionistas is Look magazine, the tan is back.

Thats right ladies, you can now sport a mahogany glow without feeling a little guilty or self-concious that you look like an oompa lumpa! Dont get me wrong, I am not condemning that you bathe yourself in layers of the darkest Fake Bake, but a healthy sun-kissed glow is definately in this season...strange as generally you dont tan in winter?

According to Look, at the Topshop Unique fashion show, 48 models were dipped three times to them dark enough. Finished with some illuminator for and iridescent sheen.
Super tanned Audrina Patridge is just the example for this seasons rich tan look. Pass me the St Tropez..

The new pumps.

It kills me to say the era of the ballet pumps have come to an end. Not to worry, these will be your new best friend...

The brogues are as vintage as it comes. They've been around for decades, and now its the Digital Generations turn to sport these delights.

Both practical and quirky, they're the perfect balance. Personally, I adore Alexander McQueen brogues, they've got a gorgeous rustic look to them, which oozes vintage. But for more reasonable prices, try Topshop or even Primark for your own BroBro's.

All the fashion-forward celebs such as Fearne Cotton and Alexa Chung have been seen working the old-school shoes. If its good enough for them, its good enough for us.

Crazy about Coral.

I think I've been chanelling the coral lips for over a month now. I love them. The brighter the better.

Since its getting dark outside, it makes me feel better to add a pop of colour to my look, and coral is the perfect tone. It can look really vibrant to the pale skinned beautys, or really warm to those olive tones.

Ive been using Barry M's 147, as I like the matte look and it ensures a long lasting stay. Although YSL Rouge Pur Couture has some daring shades of coral, but I feel with YSL lipsticks they're more moisture enriching rather than colour enriching. Nothing wrong with that, but with coral..its all about the colour!

New Move

So, since Ive started University this year, my Mum and Dad thought its time I got my own place..and I love it!

I love the independance of living on my own (although I share the flat with my boyfriend, its not quite on my own). We stay right in the city centre, so as soon as I walk out the doors..I walk into the hustle and bustle of city living. The down-side is the constent noise; sirens, cars, people. The up-side is that my beloved Topshop and All Saints is a 30 second walk :)

Its a cute little flat, just perfect for the two of us. Yes thats a faux Mark Rothko piece on the wall, had I own £7million then its likely it would be the original..

Heart Henry Holland!

I am loving my Henry Holland suspender-esque tights. Yeh, there controversial. Yeh, there edgey. And Yeh, thats why I love them!

There is a selection of styles from cute heart embellished ones, to the full-on suspenders! I got mine £12 from River Island..and money well spent!

Worn with Topshop Bodycon Dress, and Topshop waterfall waistcoat...it was more of a subtle look.
Night out in Edinburgh with my gorgeous girls...the lovely Anna in a Topshop Coral Dress.

What do you think, hint of quirkiness or best left in the bedroom?

Yumm

I am a perfume whore. From the cheap and trashy "Fantasy" by Britney Spears, to the ultra sexy "Intense FlowerBomb" by Victor and Rolf, I just cant resist a gorgeous smell. Lets face it, we all want to smell yummy.

So when my boyfriend brought me this home from his holiday, I fell in love. Im not talking about my boyfriend (although I do love him very much...ahh how soppy I hear you say) but with the stunning scent of Acqua Di Gioia by Giorgio Armani! As you can see, I thoroughly enjoyed it as half the bottle is gone already.

With notes of lemon, jasmine, spring blossom and cedar, it essentially has a fresh and citric tone to it. However, I think the attraction for me was the fact it smells of a soft gents aftershave. It definately has a masculine undertone to it, which is Gorgeousss!

New love

I have bought far too much from that damn Topshop recently. Why do I continue to have a look in there? It only ends up in a sporadic parting with my credit card.

Anyway, I might aswell share with you what I got...

My new love is this gorgeous blouse worth £45, I have been wearing it with just about anything. Whether its over a bodycon skirt and wedges for a night out or vamped up with a leather jacket and high top boots, its a winner whatever the outfit combo may be.

Excuse the horrific bra show, its an awful photo but a gorgeous top.

Ive been wearing it with these leather/wet look leggings worth £32, to give it a soft and hard look about it..
I do love these, but my god, what a nightmare to wriggle into. Which reminds me; must hit gym today...

The Only Way Is Essex

The new show The Only Way Is Essex on ITV2 showcased last night, it was said to be "the britsh hills" or "Jersey shore with more drama". It wasnt't. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't horrendoes, but it would never measure up to The Hills, or even Jersey Shore for that matter.

And ironically, its addicitve. Theres something about the fake boobs, tacky hair extensions and jewel-encrusted bikini lines that is just down right captivating.

Check out.. http://www.facebook.com/#!/theonlywayisessex and lets see what you think!

Aqua Crazy.

I am obsessed with Aqua Couture. I have always said if I won the lotto, I'd buy part of the company. Each piece is so unique, well structured and down right gorgeous. Even the celebs love, The Saturdays Frankie Sandford has been seen sporting a few beautiful dresses. And if thats not enough to convince you, the pricing is not that bad. I mean £70-£100 for a to-die-for dress is money well spent if you ask me.

Recently, I was surprised by my lovely boyfriend with a gorgeous dress, the one Frankie wore to be exact. So there you go girls, proof that enough "subtle" hints does pay off...

The long-sleeved white mesh dress.

As if one beautiful dress wasn't enough, I thought I'd indulge myself in another one. Bye-Bye money. Hello Bandeau Dress. Ok, so its a little risque, but with the right accessories and it could work in my favour. Let me know your thoughts...

Minx...just for minks?

So, personally, I think Minx nails are quite controversial... I can't make out if they're oozing with quirkiness or just plain ol' tacky. Had it not been for the ultra-classy Beyonce sporting them, I would have agreed with the latter. Theres no doubt about it, the Minx craze has taken over, from Gaga to Rhi Rhi, but Im not sure if I want to jump on the bandwagon just yet. Im still rating my autumnal, muddy grey nails so dabbling in Minx is polar opposite..what with the range of leopard print and bright red effects.

Let me know what you think...down-right gorgeous, or down right awful?

My must-have!

Ok, I admit it, I am X-factor obsessed. Every year I watch it religiously, not just for Miss Coles drop-dead outfits, but for the substance of the show itself, and this year has got to be the best year so far!

But I was completely distracted this week by Sophia (blondey) from "Belle Amie" All Saints Bex Jumper. I Must own. I mean essentially its just a torn up, rustic jumper...so is it worth the £95 price tag? In one word, Yes. Its such an edgey piece, but also practical. As its getting increasingly dull outside, Ive been looking for knitwear which is comfy as well as stylish, and Bex you are right up my street...
